After completing my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry here at Kent, I remained to study for a PhD in molecular cytogenetics. My research has focussed on constructing a comparative physical map between chicken and duck (Anas platyrhynchos), using the chicken paints and BACs from our resource centre. Currently I am working on comparative genome organisation in birds.
